1st job interview...

...at the embassy.

Nailed it!!

I'll let you know if I get the job... and what the job is.

1st golf outting

Ok, ok I know.  I don't post anything for a month and a half and the first time back i put up a post about... golf.  Before I get into the day let me go over a few things.  First, I have discovered that I suck at this blog thing.  Next is I think I suck so bad at it because it is too much pressure to be witty and charming on a semi daily basis.  So I get lazy and instead of throwing out there sub par posts I don't post anything.  All i can say is (besides I'm sorry), is I will try harder.  It may take me a bit to get over my fear of not being witty but I will try.

Ok, my little pity party over lets get on with it.  Now all you who do not golf may get nothing out of this, for those who do, I hope you enjoy.

So I played in an Embassy sponsored tournament.  Relatively cheap, $30 to cover entry fee & a buffet lunch.  The course was beautiful, picturesque views of rolling hills & an old school chalet style club house. So, I have played at many immaculate courses in the states, why am i so excited about this one.  One thing separated course from anything I have experienced so far... we had caddies.  It was a bit weird at first I pulled my clubs out of the car and right away someone took then from my hand and started walking away with them.  I then hit the driving range to warm up and my caddy was giving me tips, it was like having my own personal coach.  Then we hit the course and it was great having a caddy.  It was nice having someone who went to find all my errant balls.  He did a great job of choosing my clubs for me on every shot.  This took me one hole to get used to.  We were on the first hole and I was going for the green and my caddy, Patrick, handed me my wedge and I asked for the 9 iron.  He refused and told me to hit the shot.  Dammit if I didn't knock it within 4 feet of the hole.  After hitting the shot I turned to Patrick and told him I would never doubt him again.  Every club he handed me the rest of the day turned out to be the right one.  I think I can get used to this caddy thing.
